What love looks like

1 John 3:16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.


I, of my own abilities, dont know how to love. It was only, and is only when I see Christs love toward me, while I was loveless against Him, is when I truly know what love is. He willingly laid down His life for me and because of this, I truly can and will lay down my life for others. This most often doesnt even mean death, but that may be part of this sacrificial love. Either way, its His life in me that is glorified and uplifted as it should be. I want to be like the moon is to the sun, just a reflector of the actual true light source, Dont you as well?
