What religiosity looks like

Luke 22:1 Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread drew near, which is called Passover.

2 And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might kill Him, for they feared the people.


Now here are some real classy, nice, model religious leaders. Not really! This is typical of self righteous religion. They never seek to serve but to be served and preserve their interests. They devised plans to murder Jesus. If Jesus was wrong, he that is spiritual, seek to restore such a one. Not kill such a one. Thats a major problem with religion, the wicked hearts who are entrusted to it never seek whats best for others. They dont even live by convictions but by fear. They feared the people and how the people would react to their plans. Life as a christian is full of taking painful blows upon us for the well being of others and their growth in the LORD. Jesus gladly took the sting of death so we would not have to.
