Who is this woman with child?

Rev 12:1 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.

2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.

3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads.

4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born.

5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne.

6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

The woman is Israel. The Child is Jesus. The dragon is satan. It amazes me how much persecution the Jews have endured because they are Gods chosen people & the nation brought forth the Messiah. Chapter 12 is a overview of the great tribulation, the 7 years of God pouring out His wrath on a Christ rejecting world. The bible is consistant, that at the 3 1/2 yr point, the antichrist will show his true colors, the Jews will see him for who he is and turn to Jesus, and satan will seek to destroy them once and for all. The Jews flee to the rock city of Petra, a mountainous region near the dead sea. Whats cool is, many of people who have taken Gods word as truth, have laid up supplies in these caves for this very time. Those who choose to be associated with Christ, will suffer persecution. Knowing this, I double down! Christ is our only refuge and defense. What can satan do to us, take our lives? We go immediately to Jesus.
