Why you talking to a snake?

Genesis 3:2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden;

3“but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.”

Eve is actually talking to the serpent! She gives a somewhat correct answer except she added something. Thats equally as bad as taking words out. "Nor shall you touch it." This tree wasnt to be feared just dont partake of it. I really believe the twisting of scripture here is what religion is all about. Portray God in a different light or make His commands harsh or burdensome. Simple reality is, disobedience of Gods word causes death. Addeding or subtracting from Gods word is a subtle poison. The serpant is already ambushing her as she talks to him. Never talk to the serpent. When satan comes knocking, send Jesus to the door.
