You are called out to a living hope.

Matthew 8:21 Then another of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”

22 But Jesus said to him, “Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”

This passage is often misunderstood. Whats wrong with a son wanting to bury his dad? Is Jesus harsh? Well, this is a cultural saying. See, at this time, his dad was not dead. He wanted to hang back until his father passed so he would get his inheritance or whatever. Could be years. You cant put off following Christ for one minute. We are not guaranteed tomorrow. Let those who that are dead, who live for this life, procrastinate around. You are called to higher things.
