You speak, I listen

Psalm 78: Give ear, O my people, to my law;

Incline your ears to the words of my mouth.

The LORD pleads His people to give ear, listen. That shouldnt be hard to do. God equipped us to have 2 ears & 1 mouth, to listen twice as much as we speak. We must stop our busyness, self absorbed, preconceived ideas and listen to what the Author of Life is wanting to get across. His word is full of grace & love. Listening involves being quiet, taking in what the LORD is actually saying, not what one has been taught or programmed what God will say. Jesus constantly challenged His disciples by the profound things He taught. I think I know Gods word, but then I sit and listen! Im amazed at what I would have missed if I stayed the course of defaulting to what I thought I knew. His word never changes, but we do. We struggle with emotions, culture, feelings, our flesh! All Im saying is this, speak to me LORD, for your child is here, listening! You have the words of life.
