Your hope lifts my soul

Psalm 42:5Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance.

The psalmist repeats this 3 times. I can understand his cry here. I, like he, have felt so spent, so broken, so small. The depth of exhaustion and my soul, at times, feeling as if on life support. But I must ask myself, WHY? The Lord has everything I need for life right now. He answers his own question, HOPE IN GOD! I must press in by faith unto this living hope that my flesh seeks to neglect. As long as a man has a little hope, the possibilities are endless. Jesus is my hope and I am yet to give Him the praises for all the wonderful things He is yet to do. Lord, please lift up my countance by revealing Yours upon my weary broken soul. You are the only anchor for my soul.
