You Are Appointed To Eternal Life? What Say You?
Acts 13:47 For so the Lord has commanded us:
I have set you as a light to the Gentiles,
That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.”
48 Now when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord. And as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.
Oh, isn't this wonderful? The gentiles, like us, coming to Jesus as Savior. God accepted them. They brought glory to God. The word prophesied, as this, in the old testament, glorified God. Now, God appointed us to eternal life who believe in Him. The sovereignty of God. The predestination of God. We wasn't just a knee jerk selection. We wasn't a plan b to God. He chose us before the foundation of the world. This has nothing to do with hyper-Calvinism where they claim that God has destined some to heaven as well as some to hell. Man has no choice in their view. No, I chose Him but He chose me first! Thank You LORD for Your selection.
