What always was is and will be?

2 Peter 3:3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming?

My how this was a prophetic word.  We are in the last days and yes there are many, even those in the church, who say this or something like this.  Where is Jesus' return?  Everything still goes on like it always has.  Peter exposes that lie as he reminds them of Gods judgment upon the world who rejected God with a worldwide flood.  But the truth Peter lays out about these mockers is this very thing, they walk after their own lusts or sins.  This is why they cant understand Gods word & timing.  Sin will always cloud our minds to truth.  Sin will cause the eye of the heart to be darkened and only see bad, negatively, hopelessness.  We all have this mocker mentality within us and must fight it by 1st being filled with His Spirit and 2nd standing upon the Word of God.  Anytime my thinking is in conflict with Gods word, I'm off not Him. What areas of your life have you struggled with Gods word verses what you see now?  Family who resists God even after you've prayed for them for years?  Health issues that seem to never change or get worse?  Maybe finances that bring hardship and struggles in life?  The LORD is for you, not against you.

I doubts and question God in a lot of things but I also acknowledge his power, goodness, and promises. Reading the Bible every day helps the doubts that the enemy throws at me. Leaning on verses like : Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
