Reasons 1 John was Written

Here is my follow up as promised yesterday about the four reasons John wrote the 1st letter of John. I intend to do a couple more of these Bible trivia's concerning 1 John. This is my favorite letter, bar-none.
So 1 John 1:4 that the believer has fullness of Joy. Only a Spirit filled life walking after the Spirit can give us this. Joy simply means: Jesus-Others-yourself, in that order.
Then, in 2:1 John writes to the believer to live free from sin (root). Our old nature is dominated by sin due to its DNA from Adam. We are born again by the Spirit, born from above, taking on Christ' nature. Through this Man, Jesus, all are made alive. Death no longer holds us captive, Jesus set us free.
Then, in 2:26 John writes concerning those who seek to deceive us. Illumination of Jesus, the Word of God over deception. You either study thousands of deceptive religious systems or study Jesus! I'm amazed how when I have got familiar with the real Deal, I can easily spot out a fake.
And finally, 5:13 John writes to remind the believer that there is an assurance of eternity in heaven with your Savior. No more what if's or I hope I go's or maybe I will be in heaven. Have you placed your trust in Jesus? Have you asked God to forgive your sins? Have you invited Jesus into your life? Yes! well then, great, you have the promise of eternal life.
Now, I give you another assignment if you choose. John gives us 3 ways: How Christ is our example. (As He or Even as He). This will speak volumes to you in how you are to conduct yourself as a Christian. You have 3 days, plenty of time.
