John Lambert (1538)

John Lambert was an educated Christian man from London.  He became good friends with John Frith and William Tyndale.  That alone was a death sentence.  What turned the tide for John was his vocal stand against the Communion elements being the actual body & blood of Jesus.  He was captured, put on a shame trial, and judged to death by a burning stake.  As he burned, it is recorded he stated, "none but Christ! None but Christ!"
