You Must Know Jesus

Acts 19:13–15 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” 14 Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.15 And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”

We never advocate settling on just knowing of Jesus Christ.  All must hear about Him first but then you are responsible to act upon that knowledge.  Since God isn't just a concept or a philosophy, He is living and seeks a relationship.  These 7 sons of Sceva heard about this Jesus in whom Paul preached, they loved the powerful display from the disciples, who wouldn't!  They knew there was an obvious difference but they didn't care to get to know the One whom gave this profound power and boldness.   You cant have the power of God without receiving of the LORD in your life.  Signs and wonders will follow the believer!  You must be a believer first.  God has done and spoken some amazing things in my life while being a believer.  Not before!  We are not to be spectators in Gods kingdom, that will do nothing.  We must be active participants in all the things the Holy Spirit leads us in and to do.  How exciting this world is walking this way in the LORD.  LORD, I seek to be obedient unto You today, please let me get to know you in a deeper way today.
