You forgive us & we forgive others
Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.
When we pray, communicate with God, the reminder & the plea of our heart is His forgiveness of our sins. The debts we cant erase or pay, God freely took from us. He takes those debts away now, and will take them away. But we are to confess our sins to Him.
Now, just as important, we must also be like our Father in heaven. He is forgiving and gracious. We pray that we handle business as He. LORD, You forgave me a immeasurable amount of sin, wiped my slate clean. Now, what my fellow man has done to me, is small potatoes compared to what I owed You. May I forgive my debtors as You forgave me.

From the cross Jesus asked the Father to forgive His killers, because they didn't know what they were doing. Luke records this amazing attitude of love in the very worst of circumstances. Jesus knows full well how humans are built, soul, mind and body. Keeping grudges and hatred inside toward those who have harmed us or even insulted has a definite detrimental effect on us. It's like having sand in your shoe, there will be no comfort until the irritant is removed. Forgiving is how God designed us to keep our mind, soul and body from the harmful irritant of holding onto hurts. He knows us so well, and loves us beyond measure. Knowing how much I have been forgiven, how could I not forgive others. As always, Jesus shows the way.
