Are you broken?
Titus 1:5 For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you—
All through out Jesus' ministry, He moved with compassion for people. He saw them as sheep without a shepherd. He saw the brokenness & the hurt. He saw the emptiness & rejection people dealt with. He saw them as a doctor who seeks to help his patience recover to health again. To set in order was a medical term. To heal broken bones. This is how we need to truly see the church, the people who make the church. They, I, we, are broken in need of a Physician! Some erroneously paint the outside as perfectly in order. But I call your bluff! We are hurting, broken, in need of spiritual help that only Jesus is able to offer us. I have good days yes, but many more horrible days that my drive and focus must steadfastly remain upon Jesus. The church is never a museum for saints but a hospital for sinners. The only time we are discharged from the hospital is the Day the LORD brings us home.

I'm broken and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Thankfully God never forsake me, and there are people that are willing to guide me through it. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!
I am broken, looking forward to the day Jesus comes to bring me home, then I will be completely healed. I don't think I am alone in this. Sunday morning when I walk through the doors of the church, I have a smile on my face. A genuine smile. I GET to go to church. But inside I've been struggling with life. I don't want anybody to find out. That would make me look weak. Some people seem to have it "all together". I admit it. I don't. As a "Christian family", we need each other. Especially in these dark times.
nSo yes I am broken!

Bob, we are all broken in more ways than one. That's why it's so vital that we come together and allow the Lord to comfort and teach and love us. Without the gift and love of the Lord's people, our brokenness can easily overwhelm us. God is still healing broken places in me, and I expect that process will continue for the rest of my life. He is so gracious.
Amen to both of you. We are broken and need the healing only Christ can bring. We all have things going on, under the surface, that we are trusting God for. Jesus said He came to heal the brokenhearted.
