Look, focus on these things
Acts 21:25 But concerning the Gentiles who believe, we have written and decided that they should observe no such thing, except that they should keep themselves from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality.”
Of the 613 Biblical laws of Moses, even the 10 glorious commandments, written by the finger of God. Paul and the church decided upon these four in which the gentiles were to observe and do. Not as a ritual, but the spiritual meaning and spiritual impact these areas involve. Its never about going back into the law, but its not about lawlessness either. The law is just, holy, and good but we are not. These 4 areas sum up many of the laws yet why not just remind them of what Jesus said, Love the LORD your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. And love your neighbor as yourself. All the law and the profits hang upon these. LOVE.
These were gentiles. They came out of idolatry and paganism. The LORD wasn't their God. They will learn this. This is the standard they are coming to. They wont get there unless these 4 items are taken seriously as an ex-pagan idol worshiper. Weather Jew or gentile, we all have our areas to major in. Love is the central focus! To the gentile, loving God and their neighbor was still utmost. They served aimlessly many gods who had no love, taught no love toward their neighbors. They had to get out of the idolatry and join themselves to God. Now, this is where Gods glorious power becomes evident to all.
