Dont Be Greedy
Luke 12:15 And Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”
This world is all about the money. This drive to make more and take what others have. This is really a frustrating environment to live in as a Christian. Some Christians just embrace the status quo and look just like the world. A church often doesnt look any different from the secular world and its business growth models. This thirst and lust for more valueless money consumes the agenda. I have worked for "Christian companies" that were in name only but far worse than a company owned by a heathen.
Gods word says that the love of money is the root of all sorts of evil.
Jesus simply says, Beware of greed. Your life is more than just money and aquiring stuff. I have experienced that the stuff actually takes control of us. It dictates to us how much time we have to work to pay for it or how much less time we get with our families because of it. The simple life seems to be where we all end up eventually anyways.
