Crazy or Sound

Acts 26:24 Now as he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are beside yourself! Much learning is driving you mad!” 25 But he said, “I am not mad, most noble Festus, but speak the words of truth and reason.

Festus vocalize what many wont say!  Paul, have you gone crazy with all this Jesus talk?  You started so well, you were on a path to religious dominance, but then Jesus!  Paul, you are all wrapped up in this Jesus Christ!  Why cant you just be like everyone else, play the part, collect the check, don't cause ripples?
I think Pauls answer here is simple yet wise.  Festus, your wrong son.  I'm not crazy.  I was going crazy fighting Jesus, but I am more sound (healthy) than ever before.  In fact, I now know and have experienced Gods word that is truth and inspires reason in us.  For the first time, my mind is at peace.
Now, my turn!  This hits a nerve in me!  I vividly recall the vast contrasting change Gods word had effected me.  I would leave church and go to work.  The peace of Gods presence, the amazing Spiritual experiences in Gods house and the world collided like hitting a brick wall.  Perfect storm atmosphere!  I remember the thoughts in my head of working out these major contrasts.  Have I gone crazy?  If this Jesus stuff real?  Have I really made decisions based off my new spiritual senses?  Have I really lost it?  These questions and more were foundational to work out for me to be here, writing this out now.  Fact, I was more sane, more sound, more level than at anytime in my life.  In fact, this path has allowed my mind to sharpen not get worse.  I can truly live and learn, because of Jesus!  I have no doubt, religion will and can make one truly crazy as they are required to never be free thinkers, just do this thing because your told to.  Our Savior is not that way, He inspires us to work things out, reason through tough mental things, but at the end of that, there Jesus is!

Amen! The blessings of a mind at peace with and in the Lord cannot be matched. Not only does it sharpen the mental acuity God gave us at birth, but we have access to His wisdom through the Word and the Holy Spirit.

I can feel what Paul must have felt. I have been told very similar things lately!
