Our Roots as Gentiles
Acts 28:28 “Therefore let it be known to you that the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will hear it!”
The salvation of God isn't just a phrase, He is a person. Jesus Christ is the salvation of God. The plan to open salvation to the gentiles was always in the mix. All peoples came from Adam and Eve right? I think the reason the gentiles are often quick to hear and accept Jesus is because how far they have been. Now, the Jews are just as far off, yet because of the familiarity of God, has blinded their eyes and hearts to this distance. Just because you heard of Him or see Him move, doesnt mean you know Him. Jesus said, those who are forgiven much loves much. Meaning, you realize you have sinned tremendously and have received forgiveness for that sin in Christ, you also receive the fact of His great love. I have had a better reception with heathens about the LORD than religious folks, and its not even a close second place for them. Its hard to break through the proud, hardened heart of a self righteous individual and get them to understand its only Jesus Christs work that will please God. But, we keep trying!
