30 Then Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who came to him, 31 preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him.
We are not told how long Paul had before Nero had him killed. Here, he rented his home for two years. Meaning, he had to have some income coming in. Maybe support perhaps or his tent making job. Romes judicial system, what we base ours off, is slow I guess. While he waits, he preaches the kingdom of God! He taught the word of God. He fought the good fight of faith. In Jerusalem, and many other locations, he was forbidden to talk about Jesus! Not while in Rome however. I dont think it gets better than this. Most would be worried about their lives but Paul had confidence in his LORD. What a blessed place to be. Faithfully proclaiming the gospel of Christ as long as you have breathe.

Had Paul not proclaimed the Gospel in Rome the spread of the Gospel would have been slower. Yet another of God's omniscience and faithfulness.
