Jesus is Light
John 1:4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.
Jesus is Light. He is the Light of the world. Any ray that men can see, that's because of God. This is a common Jewish way of communications, contrasts. Light & darkness. Darkness holds no value. Its synonymous with negative attributes. Its no coincidence that most sin happens at night, though not limited to. In God, there is no darkness. He inspires me, illuminates His word, is shone faithful in my life. The darkness of my past sin is eradicated at Jesus' presence. When Jesus enters the room, darkness only has one option, flee and be gone! This easy simple illustration, all of us can do at home, go to a dark room and flip the light switch on. Darkness cant argue or fight or resist, or appeal, its just gone. I guess there is an argument for shadows but lots of object in life get in between us and our LORD casting a shadow. Get out from the objects and get face to face with your LORD.
