Faith over Fear
Matthew 8:23 Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. 24 And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. 25 Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!” 26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. 27 So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”
Jesus said they would go to the other side. So what is the problem here? Jesus tells us a lot of things throughout His glorious word, yet do we rationalize it? Do we have faith & trust in Jesus or do we fear what probably wont happen anyways? Fear will keep us in bondage and will never allow us to live a life pleasing to God. Why are we fearful when God has given us great promises? Why do we refuse to allow our faith to grow by walking in His Spirit, and choose to walk in our flesh? Have you come to the fact that in Christ alone, nothing will harm you or take you that God doesn't allow. And if He allows it, He sees you through it.
