They Hate Me Not You

Matt 10:17 But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. 18 You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; 20 for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. 21 “Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. 22 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.

These words of Jesus are very clear.  You will be delivered up by men!  I only want to be delivered by my Jesus!  Well, yes, because in the greater picture of Gods plan, He uses us as His vessels to reach these men of great influence.  "My Sake" is a key term here!  The pride and arrogance in politics as well as religious circles need a fresh dose of humility!  Thats where we come in.  We are the foolish things of this world.  In fact, Jesus said dont worry about the words to say, He will give you those when needed!  The Holy Spirit  will speak.  For me, this can be uncomfortable, because I want to have a well thought out defense, well studied argument, at least know what direction I must take it!  All that will come as I take this time, sit at His feet, hear His heartbeat, learn his heart, then I will naturally give His words!  Things may get dicey in the coming days, but Jesus calls us to run this race with endurance!
