Confession or Denial
Matthew 10:32 “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
Jesus made this statement. Since I am a "whosoever", I must pay close attention. I must understand what it means to confess, to speak, to say something. Jesus also says, out of the abundance of heart the mouth speaks. Our mouths actually speak volumes what is in our hearts. Yes people can say lots of things but ultimately, our mouths give away what's in our hearts. Its better to stay quiet and people think we are fools than to open up our mouths and dispel all doubts. We are not ashamed of Jesus and we know Jesus is not ashamed of us. But, whosoever denies Jesus before men, their mouths don't confess Him as their LORD, him Jesus will deny. I never knew you, depart from Me you who work iniquity. Denial is so much worse than what we often do, by not speaking up when you know or feel you should. It starts in our hearts and sets in motion our mouths. A person who denies the LORD is one who confesses another but not the LORD. He is one who opposes bowing the knee to Jesus. Will never give Christ their hearts. LORD, I never want to deny the only One who bought me from this wretched world. Everything I am and have is because of Jesus! Jesus gave me life.

Jesus paid it all. He gave His love, His Life, and His Blood. We have life in this world which is so much more beautiful when we acknowledge Him as Savior, and then we go into eternal life with the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed." Romans 10:9,10,11.

Amen. Often people speak words that are not evidenced by actions. Lord, let our lives shine with Your love, Your Word, and Your Spirit leading us daily.
Amen. As we should, never feel ashamed of our LORD. Yet, we also dont want to over state what Jesus says here as well. We all have had those times we knew we should of said something but didnt. That is not what Jesus means at all. Those examples only build in us greater desires to share our faith and use those opportunities. Yet here, Jesus speaks of a person who rejects Him in their hearts. Their mouths will only confess what their hearts are saying! I may never speak up due to being shy or nervous yet my life has been changed and glorifies the LORD through my actions, which speak louder than my words. I should confess with my mouth but whats greater is confessing Jesus is LORD with my life. Preach the gospel everywhere, if possible, use words.
