Be Like a Good Soldier

2 Timothy 2:3 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.

These present sufferings are not to be compared to the glory shall be revealed in us when Jesus returns ya'll. The race we are in as Christians is a marathon, not a sprint! We must endure until we are called home! How you ask? We only need to look to the soldier, Jesus Christ! He showed us the way, yet even the worldly soldier offers us some insightful aspects to stay faithful to God until that Day! Don't get choked out by the cares of this life. Its not that you don't love God or desire to walk after Him. Its just, the many trappings of this world offer us plenty of distractions to get our hearts & eyes off our LORD. It comes in many forms, a job, a new relationship, a new lifestyle change. Many of Christians have taken the bait and got snagged by the devil. We will never enjoy those distractions, this I promise you! Keep our eyes & heart upon Jesus! Live to please your LORD. If you live for anything else, you will be sorely disappointed.
