The Abomination of Desolation
Matthew 24:15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand),
This is best understood as the Abomination that brings on desolation. Its an event that happens 3 1/2 yrs into the great tribulation. This is the moment the antichrist will stand in the temple of God (holy place), demand to be worshiped as God. This is why its called the abomination that brings desolation. His true colors will be revealed to the Jews. Many will see him for who he is and turn to Jesus as their Messiah. The antichrist aims his anger against the Jews but God supernaturally protects His people as they flee to the wilderness (Rev 12), I believe the region of Petra and hide out there for the remaining 3 1/2 yrs of the tribulation. This will be the worst of the 7 yrs. Whoever reads, let him understand. Meaning we can. We should. We must. Daniel spoke about this in chapter 9. Though I don't plan on ever witnessing this, I do believe this is how it will all go down.
