Who are these in the Tribulation?
Matthew 24:16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
After the antichrist is revealed, the Jews turn to Jesus and flee to the wilderness, a place God has prepared for them for the remaining 3 1/2 yrs. This time of great tribulation will be the worst ever! Those in which this passage is speaking is not the church. The church has been raptured 3 1/2 yrs prior. The context of this chapter, Jesus is speaking to his Jewish disciples, talking about Jewish things, in the region of Jerusalem. I believe its the Jews here Jesus is speaking about. We don't hang out on our roofs, we cant! Judea is in Israel, not anywhere else. The Sabbath isn't a big deal anywhere in the world but Israel. So, basically, Jesus is saying at this moment, just flee to safety. Don't take your time or time will run out for you!
Now, there are lots of trials we cant handle unless God shortens them. If I only knew what God has always shielded me from? Those whom are Gods elect, God does some amazing things! Sometimes I focus on what God isn't doing in me, I miss the multitudes of things He has done and is doing and will do in me!

Each day is the time for us to be aware of the mercy and goodness of Father, Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit. Gratitude for all the things we know God has done and is doing, and for all the times we were guided or protected by Him. Sometimes He prompts others in intercessory prayer for us, or to drop us a message of love and encouragement. He knows our needs just like He knows and has prepared for the tribulation saints. We have a truly awesome Father who has certain knowledge of all things, and the power to save and give us eternal life with Him. What greater high is there? Thank you, Jesus for providing the way out of our sin and death and into eternal life and joy with You.
