Concerning the Coming of Jesus

2 Thess 2:1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.

Have you ever been good in what you believe, then hear someone with a contradicting message? Were you shaken? Did it cause you to doubt? Sometimes, these shake ups are great, but often, they are the enemies way of stealing your joy.
The church in Thessalonica was a hungry church for Gods word. They grew quickly on end time events. Yet false teachers came behind Paul spreading lies & false doctrines. Some even forged letters with Pauls name on it, talk about unrighteous. There were heavy persecutions upon this gentile church. Some lost jobs, families, even their lives all because of their acceptance of Jesus. The big lie was, YOU ALL MISSED THE RAPTURE AND ARE NOW IN THE GREAT TRIBULATION. It seems to make sense but how did they lose their reward? The gathering unto Him here is that moment when we the church meets Christ in the air and are gathered unto Him, Raptured. The Day of the LORD is the 2nd coming of Jesus in which ends the 7 years of great tribulation. Paul will lay out for us event by event that must happen before the 2nd coming of Christ.
As a believer in our coming LORD, Jesus Christ, never be shaken or troubled that you missed anything He promised. He is coming soon and His reward for us is with Him.
