All Inclusive Trip to Patmos
Rev 1:9 I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
The apostle John is whom is given this Revelation of Jesus! He was the disciple whom Jesus loved, so he made known in his gospel record. Yet, Jesus loves all His disciples, even Judas. John was no better or worse than me. He is a brother & fellow worker to sharing the gospel of the kingdom of God. He suffered tribulations for Christ, experienced the amazing kingdom of God, and exhibited much patience as Jesus was his example, and mine. The romans banished John to this forsaken island Patmos as a punishment. They tried to boil him in oil, but that did not kill him. Im sure it left many unnecessary scars. He would be the only one of the twelve who would pass away of natural causes. All the others were brutally killed. Yet no disciple displayed & modeled the love of Christ greater than John. Hardships can make a man very bitter or it can make you better. Some of the greatest examples of Gods love I know are those who would not be bitter but chose to be better.
It was here in this lonely forsaken place, his LORD met with him. This in my opinion, would be the greatest place on the planet at that point! Where are you right now? Im sure we all could be in a better spot in life but take this into account, Is Jesus there with you? Has Jesus revealed Himself to you in the hardships of your life? Well, it wont get better than that! Are you in your all inclusive place with the LORD?
