I Want To Hear God When He Speaks

1 Samuel 9:17 So when Samuel saw Saul, the Lord said to him, “There he is, the man of whom I spoke to you. This one shall reign over My people.”

The LORD said! I mean, let that sink in. For the LORD to say anything, He must be living! God has been doing a lot of talking but do I do a lot of listening? He is not the problem, I am. I get so distracted, caught up on what's going on in the day, the noise drowns out His still small voice. Yet, when I press through all that, and get to a quite place, I only then can begin to hear my LORD again. I have found out, no matter how long I've been a Christian, no matter how many times I've heard my LORDS voice in the past, none of that matters for today, in regards to hearing Him now. I must come back to the simplicity of waiting and listening to Him every time. My spiritual ears don't get accustomed to hearing Him, though past revelation sure does help build my faith & knowledge of how to hear. At the end of the day, when its all said and done, I must be still & know He is God. Quite down my busy mind, meditate upon His word, desire to be fed by the Bread of Life. God has shouted before, I don't advise that style of communication at all, but if you need it, He can!
