Courage or Fear?
1 Sam 10:22 Therefore they inquired of the Lord further, “Has the man come here yet?”
And the Lord answered, “There he is, hidden among the equipment.”
This story of Saul is rarely known. Instead of accepting the anointing of God as king he hides from it. Some can mistake this as humility. Oh, he is a great patriot and humble servant for his nation by this action. You must reject that interpretation. Saul is a coward! A false humility if you will. True leaders don't really look for difficult times in order to lead, they just don't run from nor hide from them! Many decisions I had to make that I rather would not have had to make the call but that wasn't in the cards. John Wayne stated that "courage is being afraid but mounting up anyway". Saul hiding in equipment is so pathetic. Im not just hard on Saul, the same measure is for me as well. I don't feel I have the choice to hide from decisions when I'm responsible to make the call. We must own up to the issue, seek God on our role and what He wants, and make a call. I don't fault Saul for realizing he is insufficient for the calling, we all are. But who am I to deny the Master when He wants to use the tool of His choice? Be courageous in whatever decisions your faced with today. Not with pride & ego, but with true humility and seeking the LORD.

Exactly!!! True Humility and seeking the Lord’s face! Not one day you’re humble and the next day you’re rude and arrogant because of your ego and pride and you think that you’re better than everyone. And no wonder sadness, unrest, inferiority, confusion, and inadequacies sits in. LET GO AND LET GOD!
