Steps to Victory
1 Samuel 14:1 Now it happened one day that Jonathan the son of Saul said to the young man who bore his armor, “Come, let us go over to the Philistines’ garrison that is on the other side.” But he did not tell his father.
How isn't Jonathan listed more in the New Testament? I love this guy. What faith he has in God. What courage he exhibits every time we read of him. I don't think I can recall even a weakness written of him, though he had many. What story he would continue to have been, if his father Saul didn't cause his death by his carnal foolish ways. Look, Jonathan was a great example in every way. He is a man of faith I want to be. He isn't scared about the supposed powerful philistines! Israel have no weapons! He has a sword but against a well equipped enemy? Let's go to the enemies camp! LORD, give me faith as Jonathan. Let me, in Your power, trample over the enemies camp. Lets go liberate those souls held captive by Satan's lies! God will fight the battle, I just need to show up.
