God Draws us in His love

Ruth 1:16 But Ruth said:“Entreat me not to leave you,Or to turn back from following after you;For wherever you go, I will go;And wherever you lodge, I will lodge;Your people shall be my people,And your God, my God.17 Where you die, I will die,And there will I be buried. The LORD do so to me, and more also,If anything but death parts you and me.”

Naomi lost everything!  Her husband & sons.  Now possibly her daughter-in-laws.  Both love her very much but Ruth discovers the love of God through Naomi.  What daughter-in-law would leave all to follow?  Ruth would be the grandmother of king David and also be in the lineage of Christ.  We should never underestimate the powerful influence of the Spirit in & upon our lives unto others.  Ruth was drawn to Naomi because of her godly virtue.  I have found, the broken in this world have been drawn to the Spirit who lives in me.  They seek something real, sincere, something that will finally quench their thirst.  They don't know its Jesus but the Spirit draws all men to Him.  There are those, who have decided to stay and live in Mississippi, because of our church family & fellowship in Christ is so real & satisfying.  People need a sense of belonging and the Holy Spirit will give us that.  Each one of us makes a difference to God and is important to Him.  This love that Ruth had toward Naomi wasn't normal, it was spiritual and came from God.  This love we share, isn't from us, its from God.
