God Calls Us to Come Reason Together
Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together,”Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson,They shall be as wool.
The LORD has just called Judah out about their hypocrisy. They did all the outward things such as sacrifices and such but left out the important things to God such as giving of their hearts and repentance from sin.
The LORD says, Come, lets talk about this in a rational way. God takes not desire in judging them. Judah is giving Him no choice.
Today, I find people in the same situation. Gods grace is sufficient for us yet it's not cheap grace to be taken advantage of. Do we have a heart like David that is tender and ready and willing to repent when the LORD calls our sin out?
